Lieutenant Colonel (GRC-A) Nikolaos Pitsakidis was born in Thessaloniki – Greece, in 1975. He was admitted to the National Military Academy in 1995 and graduated in 1999, as Second Lieutenant (Infantry).
His service records include multiple command assignments in various Military Units of the Greek Armed Ground Forces, as follows:
- Mechanic Infantry Platoon Commander: (2001-2004) in Kavyli, Evros.
- Platoon Commander of the Military Police and Preliminary Investigation Officer: (2004 – 2007) in Thessaloniki.
- Mechanic Infantry Company Commander: (200- 2010) in Mytilene.
- Instructor of the Multinational Peace Support Operations Training Center (MPSOTC): (2010 – 2015) in Kristoni, Kilkis.
- Staff Officer: (2015 – 2017) in Plati, Evros.
- Deputy Commander in Mechanized Infantry Battalion: (2017-2019) in Polykastro, Kilkis.
- Unit Operations Officer: (2019-2020) in Polykastro, Kilkis.
- Commander of the Mechanized Infantry Battalion: (2020-2022) in Mytilene.
- Academics Director of the Multinational Peace Support Operations Training Center (MPSOTC): (since 2022) in Kristoni, Kilkis.
He has graduated from all mandatory Military Schools & Courses provided for his grade and has been awarded all the medals – commemorations provided for his grade.
He speaks English and German.
He is married with Ioanna Karvouna and has two (2) children, Irene (12 years old) and Stefanos (10 years old), of primary school students.
