School of Civil-Military Coordination (UN-CMCoord)

From 22 to 26 April 2018, the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (UN OCHA) organized at the Austrian Ministry of Defense and Sport in the Reichnau de la Rax, Austria, the School of Civil Military Cooperation the United Nations.

This training activity was aimed at Officers and civilians already serving or will be servein United Nations missionsin areas or countries due to a natural disaster or in complex situations (armed conflict combined with natural disaster).

During the training, a series of lectures, presentations, practical trainings in working groups and factual analyzes were carried out through the trainer’s experience, to make all the subjects fully understood. The head of the training group was Mr. Josef Reiterer, who is also the UN – CMCoord Handbook author.

Greece participated in the course with an Officer as trainee, from Multinational Peace Support Operations Training Center (MPSOTC), in order to broaden his relevant experience and knowledge of his corresponding position as an instructor at the Center for Civil Military Cooperation Center.
