Hostile Environment Awareness Training Course (HEAT) 09 -13 Sep 24

From 09 to 13 September 24, the Hellenic MPSOTC, in collaboration with, the renowned international medical and training institute MEDUCATION specializing in Emergency Prehospital Care conducted the 3rd in a row, “Hostile Environment Awareness Training (HEAT)”.

The course was a comprehensive program designed to significantly enhance the preparedness of individuals working in high-risk environments and to augment their awareness and understanding of the multifaceted threats encountered in hostile settings.

The curriculum was designed to equip participants with effective strategies-tactics for mitigating risks and boosting their survivability in adverse conditions and non-linear threats. The training combined theoretical knowledge with practical, field-based exercises and the participants had the opportunity to engage with state-of-the-art simulators and equipment, mirroring real-life scenarios.

The extensive training covered a wide array of critical topics including car simulators for emergency scenarios, medical skills and first aid techniques, hostage survival strategies, communications and navigation essentials, mobile security protocols, roadblocks, weapons and explosives familiarization, special remotely operated systems in defense and security, the use of drones and robots, thermal imaging and Remotely Operated Vehicles (ROVs).
