From January 13th to 17th, 2025, the Hellenic MPSOTC hosted the “International Humanitarian Law Course”, delivered through a distance learning platform. A diverse group of 28 participants hailing from 7 different countries participated in the training, diving deep into the complexities and nuances of protecting civilians and cultural heritage amidst the challenges of armed conflict.
Through this course, our students gained invaluable insights into the legal, political, and practical dimensions of International Humanitarian Law. They explored the multifaceted threats, needs, and vulnerabilities faced by various civilian groups, gaining a nuanced understanding of how to navigate these challenges with empathy and intelligence.
As they move forward, our participants are now equipped to apply their knowledge on the operational level, implementing strategies and measures that uphold the principles of International Humanitarian Law on the ground. #MPSOTC #IHL #humanitarianlaw
