Security Management in Situational Prevention Course (Online 26 Jan – 06 Feb 2026)

The Hellenic Multinational Peace Support Operations Training Center (MPSOTC) successfully delivered the Online Learning Course “Security Management in Situational Prevention”, from 26 January to 06 February 2026.

The Course brought together 30 participants from Cyprus, Greece, Germany, Malta, and Poland, representing military personnel, law enforcement officers, civilian professionals from public administration, and the private security sector. The multinational and multidisciplinary composition of the virtual class significantly enriched the exchange of knowledge, perspectives, and operational experience.

The primary objective of the Course was to provide participants with a solid working knowledge of security management principles and requirements, with emphasis on personnel and installation security. Throughout the program, participants enhanced their operational and planning capabilities, strengthened awareness of contemporary security risks and hybrid threats, and were introduced to counter-terrorism, counter-asymmetric attack, and anti-criminality protection approaches within the framework of situational prevention.

The curriculum combined theoretical instruction with practical application through lectures, a risk management workshop, and scenario-based exercises. Key training areas included security planning, crisis management, Open-Source Intelligence (OSINT), cyber-related hybrid threats, airport and convoy security, behavioral threat detection, cultural property protection, and the development and implementation of risk management plans.

Participants actively engaged in discussions and collaborative workshops and presented their final exercises, demonstrating professionalism and a strong commitment to enhancing security practices in their respective organizations and countries.

The MPSOTC remains committed to strengthening international cooperation and capacity building by delivering high-quality education and training in peace support and security operations.
