Hostile Environment Awareness Training Course (Pilot) (12– 16 Sep 2022)

To serve Peace Support Operations (PSOs) training tasks and requirements, MPSOTC is going to conduct its “Hostile Environment Awareness Training Course (Pilot)” from 12 till 16 of Sep 2022.

            Venue: “PAPATHEOFILOU” Camp – Kilkis Greece

 

 

            Purpose and Aim

 

The purpose of the course is to improve participants´ awareness of the multiple threats that are present in hostile field environments. In advance the aim is to train them on the ways and means of dealing with the dangers in an effective manner, in order to increase their survivability.

 

Methodology

 

In Classroom Lessons, Workshops and Field Exercise.

 

Learning Outcomes

 

Through general orientation, within one-week theory and practice (live mini exercise scenarios), the students will receive:

 

–  Personal security awareness.

–  Communications.

–  Navigation & Orientation.

–  Medical skills & health.

–  Mobile security, explosives & roadblocks.

–  Hostage and kidnap survival.

 

 

            Pre-Requisites

 

To be eligible to attend the Course, nominees must fulfill the following criteria:

 

  • Civilians and employees coming from NGOs, GOs public services Sector and other levels of government i.e. Ministries of Foreign Affairs, Defense, Environment, Culture and Internal Affairs as well, from EU Member States.

 

  • Language proficiency: The non-native English speakers Students must have the proficiency standards in English described in STANAG6001 (Listening: Good (3), Speaking: Fair (2), Reading: Good (3), Writing: Fair (2).
