NATO Advanced Media Operations Course

From 12 to 23 June 2023, MPSOTC, in collaboration with NATO School Oberammergau, had the honour of conducting the “NATO Advanced Media Operations Course” in Kilkis, Greece. The purpose of this course was to prepare the participants for service as Media Operations specialists in a NATO Public Affairs Branch of Strategic Communications Directorate,. We hosted 15 dedicated students from 11 different countries for this essential training.

In contributing to the successful execution of this course, we were greatly supported by our esteemed partners, including SHAPE and NATO ACT, whose Chief Public Affairs Officers (CPAOs) generously offered their expertise. The NATO School Oberammergau, another invaluable partner, reinforced our commitment to addressing the Alliance’s training requirements.

We also acknowledge the invaluable support of the municipal television TV100 Thessaloniki, which provided its TV studio. This allowed us to create a realistic media environment for media training, further enriching the hands-on experience of our participants.

Building on our previous success, this year’s course continues our decade-long tradition of conducting the Basic Public Affairs Course, which has trained over 620 students from 48 countries. Our partnership with the NATO School Oberammergau, another Education and Training Facility, reinforces our commitment to meeting the Alliance’s training needs.

At MPSOTC, we take pride in our growing contribution to NATO’s, EU’s, and UN’s education and training needs. We eagerly anticipate our continued partnership with these esteemed institutions.
