“Security Management in Situational Prevention” Online Course 7th – 18th Nov 2022

To serve Peace Support Operations (PSOs) training tasks and requirements, MPSOTC is going to conduct its “Security Management in Situational Prevention” e-Learning Course from 07 till 18 of Nov 2022.

Venue: Through the WebEx application.

 

            Purpose and Aim

 

The overall purpose of the course is to provide students with a basic working Knowledge of security management skills and requirements.

This Course aims to:

– Familiarize Military/Law Enforcement personnel and Civilians (employees from Civil Protection authorities, internal/external affairs, public administration or private security sector) from different countries and professional background, with the aspect of critical personnel and installation security.

– Enhance the operational and planning capabilities of trainees, regarding security issues.

– Increase awareness regarding modern security risks and threats,

including “hybrid war” threats.

– Introduce counter – terrorism, counter – asymmetric attacks & counter –

criminality methods of protection by emphasizing in security management and situational

prevention

 

            Pre-Requisites

 

To be eligible to attend the “Security Management in Situational

Prevention” Course, nominees must fulfill the following criteria:

 

– Military Personnel with a general military background experience from

national duties, ranging from OR-7 (Staff Sergeant) to OF-5 (Colonel) rank.

 

– Law Enforcement Personnel of equivalent ranks.

 

– Civilians coming from private sector and employees of

International/Non-Governmental Organizations, with relevant job description.

 

– Participants are equally welcomed from other levels of governance i.e.

Ministries of Foreign Affairs, Defense, Environment and/or Internal Affairs as well.

 

– Language proficiency: Military non-native English-speaking Students

must have the following minimum proficiency standards in English, as described in NATO

STANAG 6001: Listening Good (3), Speaking Fair (2), Reading Good (3) and Writing

Fair (2).

– For non-military personnel, same minimum language proficiency is

needed, according to the relevant international standards for language competence
