Civil-Military Cooperation Field Workers Course 2022 (19 – 30 Sep 22)

overall purpose of the course is to provide the participants with a basic knowledge of NATO’s CIMIC doctrine, policy, responsibilities, procedures, duties, activities, and initial training at tactical level.

In Classroom Lessons, Workshops and Field Exercise.

 

Learning Outcomes

Through general orientation, within two-weeks of theory, syndicate work and a 3-days practical exercise in English language, students will elaborate on a variety of topics such as: CIMIC Organization and Doctrine, Approach to CIMIC core functions, Principles of CIMIC, CIMIC meetings, Working in a CIMIC center, Negotiation and liaison principles and techniques, Cultural & Gender Awareness, Media Relations, Cross Cutting Topics (CCT) NATO Comprehensive Approach, etc.

 

Pre-Requisites

To be eligible for the “Civil-Military Cooperation Field Workers” Course, nominees must fulfill the following criteria:

– Military Personnel with a general military background experience from national duties.

– Military Personnel ranking from OR-8 (Master Sergeant) to OF-4 (Lt Colonel).

– Law Enforcement Personnel ranking from OR-8 to OF-4 (army equivalent).

– Civilians and employees coming from Private Security Sector or relevant background.

– Public servants are equally welcomed from other levels of governance i.e. Ministries of Foreign Affairs, Defense, Environment and Internal Affairs as well.

– Language proficiency: Non-native English-speaking Students must have the following proficiency standards in English, as described in NATO STANAG 6001: Listening: Good (3), Speaking: Fair (2), Reading: Good (3) and Writing: Fair (2). – For non-military personnel, same language proficiency is needed, according to the relevant international standards for language competence.
